Chapter one: Food
- Skip the deep fried finger food and stick to the fresher options such as sushi and cold rolls
- Avoid the carby potatoes and such with your turkey and ham and save those up for pudding and cake! (Christmas is also a great time to try out gluten free baking as many recipes lend themselves to substituting flour for almond meal)
- Avoid the protien-carb combination to stop your self from feeling bloated.
- Opt for lighter options such as a seafood and salad buffet or butterflied lamb on the bbq and fresh fruit platters to finish. These are so much nicer for our hot Christmas than a big dry roast turkey.
- Make sure that you include lots of green veggies in whatever your Christmas spread. Some ideas:
sauted asparagus, broccolini or green beans with almonds brussel spouts with bacon zucchini, spinach and/or peas with mint
stir fried asian greens
